Achieveblue Adds New Technical Writing for Requirements Course

As part of their Front and Centre Training (FACT) programs in one day immersion training courses, Achieveblue has just released Course BA003: Establishing Clarity and Precision in Project Requirements. Like all FACT courses, BA003 is targeted not only at Business Analysts, but the entire project team, including stakeholders and end users. Achieveblue created this course in response to frequent requests from key accounts for a targeted learning intervention on the application of technical writing to improving the quality of  project requirements documentation. The Normalized Process Model
A Revolutionary Approach to Process Knowledge Management

With Angelo Baratta

Knowledge Management was an approach with promise that has never delivered. Process Improvement is a goal not often achieved. Why can't we make continuous and significant gains in process productivity?

Normalization revolutionized database design by producing implementation independent models. Why not a normalized process model? We ask people to think outside the box. We struggle with functional silos. We tell people to work smart. We agree on and encourage people to work as a team. However, the way that people view the work being done in an organization affects their ability to work as a team, think outside the box and propose significant improvements continuously. The tools we use to represent or model that work actually get in the way of extreme process improvement.

A normalized process model separates the core requirements from design decisions. It separates functional and other decisions to expose the ideal process which then allows us to examine and evaluate every design decision and determine its effectiveness with respect to a standard, ideal process.

Join your colleagues, network and learn how the normalized process model can free the mind from unseen shackles. Learn how the Normalized Process Model acts as a core Knowledge Framework and how it can be used to engage people, integrate performance and risk, and connect strategy to execution and execution to design.
